6. Describing Events

Oneday Laila and Retno having Lunch at the canteen , they are talking about anything.

Retno  : I was so borred Lai, I need entertain to relax myself.

Lai       : Hmm.. me too Ret, I was so borred too

Retno  : Do you have information  about the event Lai?Maybe event at the campus? Or another?

Laila    : Event?  Usually there is Ret, at the near of this month, but I forget it,and just a moment, I will to remember that.

Retno  : Oke oke I’m waiting, I hope you remember and can give me information about the event.

Laila    : Retno what do you think about effection ret ? Are you interesting to enjoying in the events ?

Retno  : Effection ? what is that Lai ?

Laila    : effection is events in Electronic engineering , they have some little events .

Retno  : what are they ? can you tell me about that ?

Laila      : They are ECC , Book Fair , and E-Sport .

Retno     : ECC? What is that? It is as if I was hear that.

Laila      : ECC is electro Carity Concert, and the ECC is for difable and concert music. ECC have a guest start, in this year the guest star there are “Gagak Rimang”, “Indie Band”, and etc.

Retno     : Wow that so great event, maybe I will enjoy if I joined on that, but there is a ticket to join at the event of ECC Lai?

Laila      :Yes there is, usually the price of ticket is Rp 50.000,00

Retno     : Woooww, that so expensive for me, I just student at the bording house. Wkwk 

Laila      : Haha... same with me Ret. Emm.. maybe you can join in another event. How about E-Sport? Do you interesting with that?

Retno     : E-Sport? What is that, can you explain to me?

Laila      : E-Sport is Electronic Sport , it is competition sport in Electronic Engineering. All of the class on electronic must join on the event, include our class, maybe we can join to watch the even when our class  will playing at the event.

Retno     : Oke oke..  but what is the competition that will happen at the event Lai?

Laila    : Competation Sport are Basket ball and Football .

Retno  : Wow.. thats great. There is another event Lai?

Laila      : Yes,there is Book Fair Ret, Book fair usually Talking about what is the problem happened at the book , and in this event the book fair talking about the problem of the book with the title “Hujan” by Tere Liye.

Retno  : Oh I see , I Interesting to visit on Book Fair. How about you Lai ?

Laila    : Maybe I same with you . because I just interesting in book fair too.

Retno  : By the way where is the place for Book Fair ? at RSG or Auditorium lai ?

Laila    : I don’t know Ret. Maybe we can Ask about that to our friends in the class.

The Bell is Ringing , they are Comeback to the Class .

Laila    : Ret, I was ask about that , and Menur Said The events comingsoon in the next week. When we can order the tikcet Ret ?

Retno  : Maybe we can order the ticket later. Lai can you accompany me to watch the Football in the Campus ?

Laila    : I have Idea ret , how if after the bell’s ringing we have to order the ticket for a Book fair, and then we can watching football together.

Retno  : That’s Good idea lai .

After the lesson Finishing , Laila and Retno , walking together and they have Order ticket at the PKM building , and then they are going to the  GREEN field to watching the Football until finishing. The next day in electronic Engineering there is Electronic exhibitation , and Laila interesting to Enjoying the events .

Laila    : Retno , are you will visiting electronic Exhibitation ?

Retno  : Maybe yes Lai , because I think in electronic Engineering we can find the new Knowledge about electronic .

Laila    : Yeah, I agree with you ret . you can visiting the events with me . Ret do you can describing the electronic exhibitation for me ?

Retno  : In Electronic Exhibitation on POLINES we can find the new Devices ,the new knowledge and usually there is robotic’s crew in there . if you don’t understand about electronic devices in laboratory , you can ask about the devices in there . They will explanation to you .

Laila    : Wow that’s great . Let’s Visiting the Events with me retno . I think I just have a little Knowlede about electronic .

Retno  : Ok Lai , but I will Lunch firstly .

Laila    : I will follow you , I will accompany you to lunch at the canteen .

Retno  : Ok , Let’s going to the canteen .

They are walking together to the canteen , and they have Lunch . After lunch Retno and Laila come to electronic exhibitation at auditorium Campus .

Retno  : Lai , in here there’s Oscilloscope devices , are you interesting to ask about that ?

Laila    : Let’s to watching it Ret, I interesting to ask about it .

Retno  : There’s Two oscilloscope Lai .Wow there’s Instruction To Operate the devices Lai . Let’s to read the instruction.

Laila    : Oke..

Retno  : Wow you look so interested, do you understand Lai?

Laila    : Yes, I do. There’s special book for Oscilloscope too Ret.

Retno  : Okay please take a point to operate from the book, and read for me, I will to operate that.

Finally Retno and Laila study about osiloscope together.

Oneday  Laila come to the laboratory ,firstly she found Retno in the laboratory. And then They are talking about anything.

Laila    : hey retno ,why you are come early today ? it is not unusualy .

Retno  : hahaha ... I just want to doing positive in today lai.

Laila    : okay , I think this is good. By the way what the job today ret ?

Retno  : the job today is practicume tranducer LDR. Do you have the job papers lai ?

Laila    : I have ret. Okay I will take it for you.

Retno  : thank’s lai. By the way where we can find LDR lai ?

Laila    : LDR ? what is that retno ?

Retno  : LDR is Light Dependent Resistor , this is a component that has a (variable) resistance that changes with the light intensity that falls upon it. This allows them to be used in light sensing circuits.

Laila    : and then , do you know another ?

Retno  : When light falls upon it then the resistance changes. Values of the resistance of the LDR may change over many orders of magnitude the value of the resistance falling as the level of light increases.

Laila    : what is the characteristic features of  LDR ret?

Retno  : we can look the material of  LDR is cadmium sulfide .

Laila    : oh I see ret, I seem to see LDR there is in the cupboard.

They are practicing together on laboratory. The bell is ringing, they are prepare to the class for next lesson. On the class laila ask retno about mathematics problems .

Laila    : ret do you have finishing your mathematic problem ?

Retno  : yes I have . why you ask about it lai ? there’s problem ?

Laila    : yes there’s. I was finishing my mathematic firstly and i was correction

, but not same with answer key. I feel confused ret .

Retno      : what should I do for you lai ?

Laila       : can you help me to correction my answer sheet?

Retno      : okay , give me your paper please !

Retno have correction laila’s paper in the class. After 20 minutes later .

 Retno     : lai , come here please ! now I know what the problem you have .

Laila       : what is that ret ?

Retno      : in second step u must change in polar form , because For the operation of multiplication of complex numbers is easier if using Polar form.

Laila       : oh I see ret , and then for the In addition operations using complex numbers Rectangular shape, right ?

Retno      : yes , all right lai. Now you can answer the question again. Fighting laila .

Laila       : thank you retno .

After laila answer the question of mathematic, they are back to laboratory to practicume . suddenly Retno come to the laila to ask about  operate the electronic devices. 

Retno      : lai , can you teach me about how to delete this program on CPM1A ?

Laila       : okay , I will teach you ret. The first you must turn on at the PLC , look the key , on program , monitor or run ?

Retno      : and then what the is the right for the key if we will to delete this program ?

Laila       : if you know the program is false ,you can choose program to justifying wrong. And then you can input the password and you can delete this program .

Retno      : password ? what is the password lai ?

Laila       : the password is CLR_MONTR_CLR.

Retno      : okay laila . now I can delete my program , right?

Laila       : yes ret , you can turn CLR_SET_NOT_RESET_MONTR_CLR to delete your program . 

Retno      : that’s great , thanks you so much laila , you are the best.

Laila       : please ret , don’t make me arrogant . 

Retno      : lai , my program less one command , what should I do ?

Laila       : you can turn CLR , drop down and then you can write the program , next you turn INS and drop down again . 

Retno      : okay , if we want to running the program we can change the key to the  RUN , right ?

Laila       : yes , you are right . 

Retno      : okay thank you lai . 

Laila       : okay retno, you are welcome.

After 20 minutes later , retno ask to laila about how to wiring the PLC .

Retno      : lai, can I look your CPM1A ?

Laila       : of course ret . by the way do you know if we need power supply to practicume today?

Retno      : I know lai , but I can’t to operate the devices. 

Laila       : what should I do for you ? maybe I can help you

Retno      : I feel so confused lai , how to calibration the power supply if we need current ?

Laila       : let’s me doing for you . I will teach you how to operate the power supply if we need current we can connect the two pole cable, and then we can manage how the current.

Retno      : but  if we need voltages what we should to do ?

Laila       : we can use multimeters to know if we need voltages. Finishing ret.

They are practicing together on laboratory until the bell is ringing to back to the home.

One day Retno eating in the canteen with her classmates, Laila. They are talking about so many things, and the one of them are talking about the activities in the holiday. Tomorrow is the last day of the end test, so it means that no longer the holiday is coming.

Retno  : Oo... finally the end test will be end, and I can not wait for the holiday.

Laila    : yes so do I, it’s only counting the hours to enjoying the holiday.

Retno  : Hahahah that’s right. Where do you want to go in this holiday Laila?

Laila    : Hmmm I don’t know, I’ve not preparing it yet, but may be I will go to my grand mother’s house.

Retno  : oo.. By the way, where is your grand mother’s house?

Laila    : my grand mother’s house is in Jogjakarta, and how about you? What will you do to spend your time in this holiday?

Retno  : I don’t know Laila, but I think in this holiday I want to increase my english.

Laila    : waaooww, that’s great. But How is it?

Retno  : may be I’ll take an english courses around my town or I’ll study with my friends, or anything.

Laila    : allright, that’s good. By the way we have to go now, I have no study for tomorrow test yet.

Retno  : Ok, I also want to take a nap, i’m so tired. Let’s go.

Laila    : Wait, before we go I want to pay my food first. Wait here.

Retno  : O.. Ok.

The end test is over, then the students is ready for the holiday. They are already have their own plan to spend the holiday, include Laila and Retno. After the long holiday, it’s time to come back to the college. In the first day of the college Laila is sitting with Retno.

Laila    : Haii Retno, How are you?

Retno  : Hey, I’m fine Lai. How about you?

Laila    : I’m fine too, hahaha. Hei you look so different after the holidays.

Retno  : really, what’s the difference? Am I more fatty?

Laila    : hahahah, just a little fatty.

Retno  : OMG, thank you very much. By the way, How is your holiday? It is fun right.

Laila    : It’s not only fun, I’m very enjoying my holiday.

Retno  : that’s great. Where do you spend your holiday? Are you really go to your grand mother’s house?

Laila    : yes of course.

Retno  : Wow it sounds fun. Now tell me how your holiday is.

Laila    : hahaha of course. When the holiday I went to my grand mother’s house in Jogjakarta. I’m so excited to go there, because it’s been so long i’ve never go there since Idul Fitri yesterday.

Retno  : Ok, Is there anyone else beside your grandmother?

Laila    : Yes, they are my grand father, my uncle, my aunt, and my little nephew.

Retno  : Wow so many people there, you must be happy to meet them right.

Laila    : Yes of course, they are so kind and I feel like in my own home there.

Retno  : So, what are you doing when you are in Jogja?

Laila    : Beside I can travelling in the Jogja’s, I also doing some fun activity, like cooking gudeg with my grand mother and my aunt, cycling around Jogja with my uncle’s family, until I join my grandpa and my uncle look for the grass in the field to feed his lamb.

Retno  : Wow it was so excited. So many experience you’ve get in your grandma’s house.

Laila    : yes, not only an ordinary holiday, I also get so many experience that I’ve never get in my home.

Retno  : Yes that’s right.

Laila    : So, How is your holiday?

Retno  : Waahh my holiday is as interesting as yours. I get new experience, new friends, and doing a lot of fun activity.

Laila    : It sounds interesting to me, so let’s tell me your holiday.

Retno  : ok, but i’ll tell you later in the break time.

Laila    : OMG, you make me curious.

Retno  : hahahah slow down.

The break time is coming, then Retno and Laila go to the canteen to eat some food.

Retno  : what do you want to order?

Laila    : I want some fried noodle and orange juice.

Retno  : Ok, I will order, and you search the chair for us sitting.

Laila    : Ok.

Retno  : here we are, it’s your food and your drink.

Laila    : thank you Ret, hahahahah.

              So, do you understand our last lesson? I’m so confuse, I don’t understand anything.

Retno  : Hmm not really. Because the lecture was teach too fast.

Laila    : OMG, just forget the lesson, now tell me about your holiday.

Retno  : You still remember right, hahahah. Ok, last holiday I went to Pare, Kediri.

Laila    : Kediri? What are you doing in there?

Retno  : Don’t you know that in Kediri there is a place that’s so good to study english.

Laila    : I don’t know that. What is the name of the place?

Retno  : OMG, how poor you are. The name of tha place is Kampung Inggris, Pare.

Laila    : Hmm Kampung Inggris, I think I’ve heard that place but I don’t know what are the people doing in there.

Retno  : Ok I’ll tell you about my holiday in Kampung Inggris.

Laila    : Right, I listen to you.

Retno  : Kampung Inggris is a place that the people inside there is always talking with english. Everyday we use english for comunication to everyone.

Laila    : English? Then how is we can not speak english?

Retno  : Don’t worry Laila because there are so many english courses that offers a good service to people who want to study english there. At he first time I also scare if I can’t speak or understand what are the people say, but after a few day of the practice finally I can understand what are they sayying.

Laila    : Really, woow that’s amazing. So, what kind activities are you doing there?

Retno  : So many activities I’ve doing there. After do the english courses I always cycling every evening around the village. And every morning I also jogging with my friends.

Laila    : That must be fun. You make me envy.

Retno  : Don’t be like that, sometimes I want to go there again, if you want just join with me.

Laila    : Ok, I’ll prepare my self and start to save my money. By the way, in the english course what are they thaught to you?

Retno  : Because I take the speaking class so everyday I must presentation with english. It was difficult to me in the first, but the mentor is so patient and smart, I taught slowly until I could speak english well.

Laila    : I became increasingly will to go there.

Retno  : You must try, because beside your english will increase you also will get so many experience and friends from another town even from the entire country.

Laila    : O.. Retno you really make me envy. If I know you will go to there before, I want to join with you.

Retno  : Hahahahah.. it’s late Lai.

The bell is ringing, Retno and Laila finished their break time and come back to the next lesson.
